Greater Montreal Region

Our firm is located in the heart of Old Montreal, just steps from the Palais de Justice and the Court of Appeal. Whether in the Greater Montreal area or elsewhere, our team is available to represent you and defend your interests, regardless of your financial or personal situation.

It is in Montreal that Me Yves Ménard built his practice and assembled the team as we know it today. His mission is to provide access to justice for all, without compromise, throughout Quebec.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue

Yves Ménard Avocats’s team actively serves the judicial district of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Our team travels to all courthouses in the region to ensure a full and comprehensive defense for our clients facing criminal charges.

No matter your personal, financial, or legal situation, you can always count on our professionalism and dedication. Whether during your arrest or of a loved one, or simply for a legal question, we are available to assist you at any time, seven days a week.

Northern Quebec

The Ménard Avocats team has been well established in Northern Quebec for many years, working with passion and determination to defend the interests of all its clients in Ungava Bay, Hudson Bay, and James Bay. Our numerous visits have allowed us to build a special bond with our clients and various stakeholders in the communities. No matter your personal, financial, or legal situation, we are available 24/7, every day of the week.

The Itinerant Court

The Itinerant Court is composed of judges, clerks, special constables, crown prosecutors, and defense lawyers who travel from community to community in Northern Quebec to hear criminal cases and youth protection matters. This practice aims to make justice more accessible to the population.

The Itinerant Court is a full team composed of judges, clerks, special constables, crown prosecutors, and defense lawyers who travel from community to community in Northern Quebec to hear criminal cases and youth protection matters. This practice aims to make justice more accessible to the population.

The Itinerant Court ensures that the justice system can operate even in the most northern communities of Quebec, despite the geographical, economic, and climatic challenges it faces.

Lacking adequate infrastructure, the court often holds sessions in community centers and even in school gymnasiums when visiting certain communities.

In Northern Quebec, the Itinerant Court serves around 15 Indigenous communities (Inuit and Cree) in the Hudson Bay, Ungava Bay, and James Bay regions:

  • Hudson Bay: Puvirnituq, Inukjuak, Kuujjuarapik, Salluit et Whapmagoostui
  • Ungava Bay: Kuujjuaq, Kangiqsualujjuaq, Kangiqsujuaq, Kangirsuk et Quaqtaq
  • James Bay: Chisasibi, Eastmain, Waskaganish, Wemindji, Mistissini, Waswanipi, Oujé-Bougoumou et Nemaska
