At McGill, he served as Co-Director for the Innocence McGill legal clinic, investigating claims of wrongful convictions for serious crimes committed in Québec, and volunteered with the Mobile Legal Clinic, offering legal information and accompaniment services to unhoused people in the city of Montréal.
